Sara is a native of the island of Jamaica. The daughter of a renown reggae music phenomenon, she was raised in a rastafarian home in the midst of the enterntainment industry. Exposed to drugs, abuse, poverty, fame, prejudice, riches and various religions; Sara was confused about God to say the least. Her parents divorced when she was six and she was sent to live with her crack-addicted mother who was later murdered at home in 1992. After converting to Christianity in 1986, Sara maintained a certain humility about her by being keen to remember her rocky beginnings. Her strong commitment to Christ was obvious in the miles she walked to church as a teen, the risks she took on politically volatile mission fields and the service she rendered to orphans and sexually abused girls. She has founded youth groups, trained children's workers, wrote discipleship manuals, authored books and taught adults and children spiritual warfare. Sara is a people's person and has always said "I feel I have lived everyone's life, if I did not do it, it was done to me and if it was not done to me, I lived with it." She has taken this testimony around to ministries such as Rhema Church groups in South Africa and Fun in the Son Jamaica where she has ministered to crowds of over 35,000 people. Sara is multi-ethnic and culturally diverse. Having traveled the world ministering the gospel in nations such as South Africa, Barbados, Trinidad, Curacao and the United States, Sara has helped others discover their God given purpose. Through energetic ministry, humorous delivery and biblical exposition, Sara is noted as being real, practical and genuine. She is a graduate of Christ for the Nations, holds a B.A. in Religious Studies and a M.A. in Christian Education / Theology and plans on pursuing her doctorate in the near future. She currently assists her husband Eben in pastoring Word of Truth Family Church and resides in Texas with their daughter Heaven. |
